Field Amputation - Gigli Saw

Saw only through bone. You can use an artery forceps to slide between the bone and soft tissue after you have divided the periosteum and created a "hole" - the artery forceps can then be used to grasp the wire and pull it through. Attach the handles and hold it as above so that your two hands cause the wire to wrap around the bone at right angles. Pull your hands alternately keeping this angle. The bone should divide easily without excessive force or effort. Using too much strength or too acute an angle can break the wire.
